Jazz Chisholm and the Stat-Padding Debate

The lead story centers on Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. firing back at Red Sox radio broadcaster Will Fleming. During a blowout Yankees win over Boston over the weekend, Chisholm stole second base, which Fleming called "bush league," "selfish," and "stat padding." Fleming went further, suggesting the Red Sox pitcher should have drilled Yankees batter Austin Wells to retaliate.

Chisholm responded emotionally, saying he was "at a loss for words" and that "people show you who they are." He defended the steal by arguing unwritten rules aren't actual rules, noting Boston had poured on runs against the Yankees in a previous matchup. Chisholm also called Fleming unprofessional and predicted that "years from now, no one will know who this person is."
