AI Summary
5 min readThe ferry tore through Bayview House without warning. One moment there was music and noise on the roof; the next, the building was folding around a burning vessel, and everyone had eight turns to get out or die.
That is the central problem of this episode: a group of friends—Harley, Colin, Yaxel, and their teammate Tev—must escape a collapsing five-story building while the people around them panic, the structure buckles, and the fire spreads. The episode is almost entirely a single, extended combat sequence, and the drama comes from how each character's instincts either help or hinder their survival.
Harley, played by Erika Ishii, moves first. She spots the fire escape on the opposite side of the roof and tries to wave people toward it. But the chaos is too thick. A persuasion check with disadvantage yields an eight, and only two or three people follow her. "Don't go in the building," she shouts, but most of the crowd pushes back toward the entrance they came from—a fatal mistake that becomes clear later.
