Killer Girlfriend Realizes Police Digs Into Her Crawlspace and Discover Her Hidden Secret - Part TWO

The interrogation room is quiet except for the hum of recording equipment. Cassie Gray has asked to speak with detectives, reversing her earlier decision to remain silent. She knows what they found in her crawlspace, and she has a story to tell—one where she is not the killer but the terrified accomplice of a man she says she's been running from for years.

"I Didn't Want a Role in It"

Cassie's account begins with Leroy, her on-and-off boyfriend and the father of her children. She describes a decade-long relationship marked by physical abuse, sexual assault, and fear. "He hit me in my face, give me a massive black eye," she tells detectives. "He's put his hands on me a few times and stripped me." She says she had recently put another man in prison for choking her out repeatedly. By the night KJ Dunn died, Cassie says she was already living in a state of terror.

The killing, she explains, grew out of Leroy's paranoia. He believed KJ was working with police—"a rat" who "needed to be taken care of." Cassie says she came home from work one night to find KJ already dead in her bedroom. "I didn't want a role in it," she insists. "The man told me to hurt me if I didn't help him."
