Interrogation Of Killer & Wife - Neighbor Was Murdered

The transcript captures a raw, extended police interrogation of a man and his fiancée following a fatal stabbing in their apartment complex. The episode unfolds in real time, letting listeners hear the detectives’ careful, procedural approach and the couple’s detailed, at times chaotic, accounts of the events that left a neighbor dead. The core of the episode is not a solved mystery but a layered, unfolding investigation where the truth is still being assembled from conflicting perspectives.

The Incident as Described by the Man

The man explains that the trouble began with a dog altercation. He was outside with his friend and his dog when a neighbor, the woman who would later die, brought her dogs out. A fight between the dogs escalated, and the neighbor began shouting threats, saying she would “kill all of y’all.” The man says he tried to de-escalate, telling her he lived right there if she had a problem. She came down her stairs, and his wife pulled him inside their apartment. But the woman followed them to their porch.
