The Revenge Trap: When Spite Stops Working

The host of The Zurkie Show opens with a confession: his life has never been easier than when he had a villain in his mind. He wanted to show them he was "him." But then he got older and realized something hollowing: when his enemy could finally congratulate him, he had nothing left. "All of that hard work was for them to see me at this light, and I was finally here," he says. "And those people do not give a shit about you."

The Wasteland of Disappointment
