When Natalie Jones was found dead in her car on October 5, 2020, she was still wearing the same clothes she had on at a Fourth of July party ninety-three days earlier. Slumped toward the driver's side door, her right hand resting on the emergency brake, her body had partially mummified in the Georgia summer heat. The car was infested with thousands of flies, maggots, and beetles. A Life Marked by Loss

Natalie was born in 1992 into an unconventional family. Her mother Elaine had already lost her oldest child, fourteen-year-old Mike, when he was killed in a hit-and-run across from their driveway.
