Two old friends return to a lake that holds a dark secret from their childhood. Jasper and Ben, now adults, climb past warning signs that read “You do not recognize the bodies in the water.” The place that was once a summer camp is now abandoned and decaying. Ben treats the trip like a joke, but Jasper is tense, haunted by memories he has spent years trying to bury. As they reach the dock, a figure rises from the water — a young boy named Eugene, whom Ben drowned years ago during a routine swim session while Jasper watched and did nothing. Then another figure appears: Lacey, a girl Ben raped and killed with Jasper’s help. The ghosts accuse them both. Ben denies everything, but Jasper finally confronts the truth. In a surge of rage, he pushes Ben into the lake, where the bodies drag him under. Then the ghosts turn to Jasper, offering him a choice: join them in the water and forget everything. He takes Lacey’s hand and walks into the darkness.
