The hosts of The Rest Is Politics: US held an emergency editorial meeting to decide what they could even repeat from the speech. The Purge Behind the Performance

Anthony Scaramucci and Katy Kay agree that Hegseth’s bombastic rhetoric is a distraction from a more consequential act: he has fired or blocked more than 80 generals and admirals. Nearly half of those removed are women or people of color, a massively disproportionate number given their share of the top ranks.
