The Democrats’ Far-Left Problem

For Harris, this wasn't just a fringe moment. It revealed something deeper about the current information landscape—that nobody can actually disavow expertise without replacing it with other experts. "The difference between knowledge and ignorance is real and it often matters," Harris said. "Many people in alternative media and MAGA culture have found other experts. They're the people for whom Alex Jones is an expert."

The DSA and the Democratic Party's Suicide Problem

The most urgent argument Harris pressed was that the Democratic Party is failing to clearly disavow its far-left flank, specifically the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Harris pointed to New York Mayor Eric Adams—whom he called "a DSA product"—and argued that the DSA platform is not merely progressive but explicitly communist. "They not only want to get rid of the presidency and the Senate and capitalism and debt, but private property itself," Harris said. "There's no hedging at all in the DSA platform, and they have married themselves to Islamism worldwide and it's become an explicitly anti-Semitic platform."
