Passengers — including several Israelis — stormed the cockpit, subdued the attacker, and one of them landed the plane. The panel is struck by how MSNBC and the New York Times covered the story. The New York Times described it as a "struggle in the cockpit" with no mention of terrorism or the religious identity of the attacker. MSNBC, according to Knowles, did not cover it at all.
