The Cornell Seven Case and the Collapse of Feminist Logic

The plot in the Cornell Seven case has taken what Michael Knowles calls an "Uno reverse" turn: one of the seven fraternity brothers accused of raping a female student has now accused his accuser of raping him. According to ABC News, the student told Cornell University Police that he was too intoxicated from alcohol and ketamine to consent on the night in question, and therefore the woman who initially came forward as the victim should be considered the perpetrator. Knowles calls this "a very extreme version of 'you can't fire me, I quit'" and notes that it resembles a Norm Macdonald bit about prison rape now playing out in real life.

Feminism's Contradictions on Display

Knowles argues that feminism is the ideological cause of the entire Cornell incident. The core problem, he says, is that feminism insists men and women are exactly the same in their sexual desires and decision-making, which leads to policies like co-education and co-ed dormitories that ignore obvious differences. He recalls realizing feminism was wrong in third grade when teachers taught both that "boys and girls are exactly the same" and that "boys should never hit girls" — two propositions that cannot be simultaneously true.
