Ep. 2066 - Gays Threaten To "Firebomb" Lesbian Bar For Dropping Mask Mandate

A lesbian bar in Greenfield, Massachusetts, relaxed its mandatory N95 mask policy six and a half years after COVID began. Patrons responded by calling for the venue to be firebombed. The bar owners apologized. The patrons told them to “stuff it with your white they/them tears.” Michael Knowles uses this story to argue that the radical left has become incapable of friendship, and that this incapacity now threatens the entire American political order.

The bar, called “Last Lick,” described itself as a space for “dykes, transsexuals, gender freaks, workers, and their friends.” When the owners announced that Saturday nights would become mask-optional, the backlash was immediate and violent. One patron wrote: “I hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my fellow immune compromised people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra revenue from ableists.” Knowles calls this “cosmic justice.” The owners tried to play the radical left’s game, he argues, but they were never radical enough. “You can never keep up when you dance with the devil,” he says. The result is a picture of hell: people who cannot share a table because they are oriented only toward themselves.
