“Die By The Sword”: Elon Musk THREATENS The Bulwark

Elon Musk responded to a critical podcast clip with the phrase “If you want to live by the sword, that is how they will die too.” The targeted podcast, The Bulwark, had just aired a segment in which co-host Tim Miller and his colleagues said they wanted Musk hauled before Congress and prosecuted. Musk’s reply, posted on his own platform X, was widely read as a threat. The threat and the context

The trigger was a clip from The Bulwark’s Atlanta live show. In it, co-host JVL declared that Americans “don’t hate Elon Musk nearly enough” and that justice was coming: “We start with the US Congress and it ends at the fucking Hague for Elon Musk.” Tim Miller, another co-host, added that House Democrats were already “carving up jurisdictions” to determine who would subpoena Musk for which offenses. Musk saw the clip and replied with the sword quote.
