The new Magic: The Gathering set Reality Fracture introduces five Elder Sphinxes—the Hexhaven equivalents of Strixhaven's Elder Dragons—alongside a host of other legendary creatures that reshape how existing archetypes play. The hosts emphasize that life gain is "very easy in green and white"—cards like Essence Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Fangren Marauder (which gains five life whenever any artifact hits a graveyard) turn every creature entering or dying into mana production. The Lotus tokens then fuel X-spells like Squall Line or Grand Crescendo. As Rachel notes, "life gain is well positioned right now" because the meta has shifted toward incremental damage rather than one-shot kills.
