AI Summary
5 min readIn the Reality Fracture set, Jace Beleren has been messing with reality in a way that specifically benefits Commander players. The set is full of color-shifted versions of existing staples, many of which are cheaper, more flexible, or easier to slot into a wider range of decks. The hosts, Rachel Weeks and Josh Lee Kwai, walk through the most impactful cards for the 99, weighing their raw power against the practical constraints of the format.
The New Planeswalker and the Wheel
The most notable new planeswalker is The Theorist, Jace Beleren (2UU). His static ability draws a card during each opponent's draw step, netting three extra cards per turn cycle. While planeswalkers are notoriously hard to protect in Commander, Jace’s minus ability (bounce one artifact or creature from each opponent) is a powerful defensive tool. The hosts compare it favorably to Teferi, Master of Time, noting that Jace’s ability to bounce three things and draw three cards on the turn he enters is a "dream" scenario that can stabilize a game.
