The sheer breadth of the corruption is what struck Kristol. "It's not one little place," he said. "It's not just the White House, it's not one department." The incompetence and lawlessness have penetrated deep into the federal government, with mid-level staffers at Interior, Justice, and other agencies eagerly participating.
