Fat Elvis is on His Period

"I really was weird about the Elvis movie in a way that was cute at the time, but now it's a bit unforgivable," Brittany Broski admits on the Broski Report, reflecting on her 2022 habit of driving to the theater alone multiple times a week to watch Baz Luhrmann's Elvis. She went to late-night Tuesday screenings, bought her snacks, and sat in the middle of an empty theater just to "goon" — her term for intense, almost obsessive fandom. She bonds with Noah Cyrus over the shared behavior, calling it a "post-COVID trauma bonding edge" to the film. This confession sets the tone for an episode that is less a structured podcast and more a free-associative monologue delivered by a woman in an Elvis wig who has tucked herself under her desk, is on her period, and keeps comparing herself to "Fat Elvis" — the late-career, heavy-set version of the King.
