In October 2024, a 20-year-old Cornell University student engaged in a drug-and-alcohol-fueled sexual encounter with seven men in a fraternity house. She initially told police and texted friends that nothing illegal had happened—"at the end of the day, none of the sexual stuff was illegal," she wrote to one of the men, adding "I love you, King."
