A Roast, a Bubble, and a Timeshare Pitch: The Adventure Zone Takes on Oz

The episode opens not with a quest, but with a roast. The McElroys are in the Hundred Acre Wood, and Winnie the Pooh is the guest of honor at a comedy roast where three bizarre characters take turns insulting him. Justin plays "Lady Godwin" — a character who looks, as Pooh puts it, "like if Joy Behar was in a terrible car accident." Travis plays "Crawford Muttnery," the King of England who keeps mentioning he was fired from Cracker Barrel. Griffin plays a nameless druid who can turn into animals. Pooh fires back, calling Mutt "unfit to be the manager of a Cracker Barrel restaurant, let alone King of England." It is, as Griffin observes, "a whole new form for the show."

Then a giant iridescent pink bubble descends from the sky. Inside is a note: "Your help is needed. An entire world is at stake." The hatch slams shut, and the three are rocketed through the clouds to the Emerald City, where they meet Lord Growley — a character Travis played in a community theater production of The Wizard of Oz. Things are bad: tourism has collapsed, the buffing shops for metal bodies have all closed, and Glinda the Good Witch went to Munchkinland two weeks ago and hasn't been heard from since.
