The Adventure Zone Versus Hercules: Live in Austin!

The episode opens with a deceptively simple premise: three mismatched characters—Winnie the Pooh (a druid), Brother Philo (a wooden puppet who is the interim Turbo Cardinal of England), and Lady Elizabeth Goldwyn (a society lady's head on a barbarian's body)—are enjoying a beach vacation in Morocco when they stumble into a garden with a golden apple tree guarded by a dragon named Laden. The dragon offers them apples from Hera's garden, and despite their suspicion, they eat them. Almost immediately, Hercules arrives with an army, kills the dragon, and discovers the apples are gone. His twelfth labor was to retrieve those apples, and now he needs a new plan.

The Underworld Journey

Hercules challenges the trio to a race: whoever completes his final labor first wins. The labor involves traveling through the underworld to capture Cerberus, the three-headed hound. Hercules vanishes, and the party finds themselves on the shore of the River Styx, where they encounter Karen, the ferryman—a skeleton who wants to see their manager. He demands one squished penny per passenger for passage, which the party reluctantly provides from their collection of commemorative pennies.
