Lewis built AudioPen, a voice-to-text AI tool, in a single 12-hour sprint. The app now has 200,000 users, over 5,000 paying customers, and generates roughly $15,000 per month. He did it as a solo, part-time indie hacker while working a full-time job in his family's offline business. The story is not about a single stroke of genius. The Half-Day Build Method

Lewis did not build AudioPen in a vacuum. He was part of an online hackathon called Half Day Build, where participants would start at noon on a Sunday and try to get from idea to revenue by midnight. The constraint was intentional: force yourself to ship something that works, even if it is ugly, and see if anyone will pay for it.

Before AudioPen, Lewis had built 15 to 20 products that failed. He built them using no-code tools like Bubble, which he had been experimenting with since 2015. The failures were not wasted. They taught him how to build fast, how to design in Figma, and how to gauge whether an idea had legs. When he finally built AudioPen, he was not starting from scratch.
