"I saw very quickly where the world was headed" — How Dustin built a $99K/month AI app with no coding experience

Dustin had been through enough technology booms to recognize one when he saw it. When ChatGPT launched, he started using it immediately and noticed something: the features he wanted weren't there. No search. No folders. No way to organize conversations. And the bigger problem was that to get the best AI tools, you'd need five or six different subscriptions. "I saw very quickly where the world was headed," he says, "and almost like a revelation saw what the next three years would look like."

Two and a half years later, his app Magi is doing well over a million dollars in annual revenue — nearly $100,000 a month. And he built it himself with no coding background, no money to hire developers, and a timeline of eight weeks from idea to launch.

The idea: one subscription for every AI model

Dustin's insight was straightforward. The AI landscape was fragmenting fast: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, image generators, video models — each requiring a separate subscription. "People are gonna need like five or six different subscriptions just to get the best for the best AI things," he realized. "What if I could solve that one problem for them?"
