Vasco did not build UPDF and then look for a marketing channel. He started with the channel. He had already been running a YouTube channel about productivity and AI tools, and when he launched UPDF—a PDF editor with AI features—he simply turned his existing audience into customers. The strategic insight is that YouTube is not just a traffic source; it is a trust-building machine. "The way in which you get people to buy from you is if they know I can trust you," Vasco says. A blog post or a social media clip can generate clicks, but a 10-minute video where a person explains a tool, shows their face, and answers questions in real time creates a different kind of relationship.
