The problem and the product

Chang's insight was that bank statements come in dozens of formats depending on the issuing institution. A single accounting firm might receive statements from five different banks, each with its own layout, column headers, and data structure. Generic PDF-to-Excel converters fail because they treat the document as an image or a flat text file, losing the relational structure of transactions, dates, and balances. BSC instead parses each bank's specific format, extracting data into clean rows and columns that accountants can immediately use in their workflow.
