While jet-skiing off the coast of a Greek island during a yacht trip, a YouTuber and her friend spotted a strange, sprawling complex on the shoreline. As the sun began to set, they pulled their boat ashore to investigate what turned out to be Aquaparos, a once-massive water park that had been completely abandoned. What they found was a silent, overgrown maze of slides and buildings, with little explanation available online—and a few genuinely unsettling moments inside the dark, fiberglass tunnels.

A Water Park Built Into the Sea

Aquaparos was located on the island of Paros and, according to the few records that remain, was supposed to be one of the biggest water parks in Greece. The satellite images on Google Maps showed a long yellow-and-white slide that emptied directly into the ocean, but historical photos revealed that the park once had many more slides—twisting, colorful structures that had since been removed or collapsed. The YouTuber noted that the park had 13 slides, a lazy river, its own beach, a restaurant, and even a medical center. It held a 3.9-star rating, with many reviews calling it calm and clean, but the negative reviews told a different story. One visitor wrote, "It does not meet any safety requirements.
