Terrifying Corners of the Internet

On February 11, 2015, a Tumblr user posted what looked like a movie poster for a horror film. It wasn't advertising fiction. It was essentially promotional material for a real plan: on Valentine's Day, Lindsay Savannah and her boyfriend James Gamble intended to enter the Halifax Shopping Centre and copycat the Columbine shootings. Someone saw the post and tipped off law enforcement. By February 13, police were storming the doors of both homes. Lindsay had just landed at Halifax Airport when she was caught. James, when he realized the plan was over, killed himself before police arrived. Lindsay was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and sentenced to life in prison. As of August 2025, she has been denied parole. Her YouTube channel and Tumblr blog remain frozen in time—a digital footprint that ended abruptly when she became literally unable to post.
