Scary Stories - Unknown Destination

In the Arizona desert, there is a road called Reverie Road that begins between a gas station and a bar and heads straight into empty desert. Nobody knows where it goes. There are no houses, towns, or landmarks in that direction. The road does not have a highway marker or even painted lines. It has been there longer than anyone can remember, and when you try to drive it, you hit a collapsed bridge after three miles. You cannot cross with a motor vehicle. The road continues on the other side, but nobody has ever made it past that point and come back the same.

Four years ago, a man named Jeffrey Willard drove down Reverie Road late at night after delivering parcels. The local barkeep, Tom Davis, saw him driving slowly past the bar, entranced, with no life in his eyes. Willard went home, grabbed a hammer from his shed, and beat his wife and dog to death. When police found him, he was sitting peacefully on his porch. He did not remember anything. The coroner found no drugs or alcohol in his system. Willard refused to talk about what happened that night, and the case became a local bruise in the town's memory.

The road pulls people in
