Scary Stories- Invitation

A friend receives an email from Stewart, an old acquaintance he hasn't spoken to in years. At first he suspects spam, but the voice is unmistakably Stewart's—and the message is a desperate plea for help. Stewart is in Prague on his honeymoon with his new wife, Danielle. What began as a search for an underground party has become a nightmare. Stewart is now trapped in a game he does not understand, and the email is his only lifeline.

The Invitation

Stewart and Danielle arrived in Prague four days after their wedding. The first two days were pleasant but dull, so they asked around for a party. A man at their hostel mentioned a flyer in an internet cafe. The flyer was small, handwritten, and contained no address—only a long website URL on the back. Danielle was hesitant, but Stewart was curious. The girl at the counter warned him not to visit the site without a VPN. For one hundred American dollars, she set them up on a computer in the back of the cafe, away from view.

The website was strange: red letters on a red background, nothing but a story about a man who did not trust his own reflection. Then a pop-up appeared: "Do you like fun? Yes? Or no." Stewart typed yes. Another pop-up asked if he accepted a formal invitation to "the greatest party in all the world." He typed yes again. After a long pause, an address appeared, along with a reminder to bring dancing shoes.
