Episode 428: Love Is Blind S11: Boston CAST DROP REACTIONS!! The Men!

“I’m screaming though because he has a video on his Instagram of Fettuccini Alfredo,” says Ricky, midway through the hosts’ dissection of the newly dropped Love is Blind Season 11 cast—and that line captures the episode’s spirit. They are not here to be fair. They are here to react, roast, and read bios aloud with maximum skepticism. The episode is a first-pass impression of the 14 men cast for the Boston season, recorded before any episodes have aired. The throughline is simple but durable: every man sounds great on paper, and the hosts assume he is lying until proven otherwise.

The Boston Accent and the “Real” Cast

A recurring early note is that the cast does not sound like Boston. The promotional video dropped by Netflix prompted comments from locals insisting these people are not from there. Ashley and Ricky note that many contestants appear to be transplants—people who moved to Boston for work or the show itself. The hosts point out that previous seasons (like Colorado) had a majority of non-native participants, so the pattern is familiar. They are not bothered by the lack of accents, but they flag it as a predictable mismatch between viewer expectation and casting reality. The conversation also notes the gender imbalance: 16 women were cast versus 14 men, which the hosts attribute to the show’s well-known difficulty recruiting male participants.
