The Laws of Sowing and Reaping—Part Three

The central argument of this episode is that the biblical principle of sowing and reaping governs every area of life—not just money, but words, relationships, energy, and faith—and that understanding its specific laws is the key to experiencing the harvest God intends.

The Principle of Multiplication

The sixth law is that you always reap more than you sow. Pastor Rick illustrates this with a simple agricultural example: planting one kernel of corn yields a stalk with multiple ears, each containing hundreds of kernels. This exponential power is built into the universe. In Mark 4:8, Jesus describes seed falling on good soil producing crops multiplying thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times.

This works both positively and negatively. If you gossip about someone, you don't get one gossip back—you enter a chain and receive more against you than you put out. Rick explains that he never attacks back at his attackers for precisely this reason: "I'm not about to let that one happen." Instead, he chooses to bless and pray for those who criticize him, because that is what he wants back. Whatever you give out, it is never one for one.
