“It never looked at us, myself or the dogs. It walked straight ahead, paid no mind like we were never there.” That is how a retired airline and Air Force pilot described a seven-foot-tall, hair-covered creature with a bulldog-like snout that crossed a fire lane in Pennsylvania state game lands in front of him and his two Weimaraners. The dogs had already been digging holes trying to get away from something he could not see. When the man returned the next day with armed friends to investigate, all of them stopped at the same spot, felt “unbridled fear,” and left without a word. They have never gone back.
