Witchcraft, Wicca, and the Eclectic Path

A core distinction the guests insist on: witchcraft is not Wicca. Wicca, Rachel explains, is a structured religion with a rulebook, a year-and-a-day study period, and specific requirements. It works well for people who come from a doctrinal background and need clear guidelines. But the three women all identify as eclectics—they have individual practices that don't follow a single tradition. “The three of us all have very individual practices,” Rachel says. Witchcraft, in their view, is a broad spiritual technology, not a creed.
