The core problem, he explains, is that unlike the Lancer (defined by rivalry), the Heart (by emotional intelligence), or the Smart Guy (by intellect), the Leader has no intrinsic trait—they are leader because the team follows them. "It's the only person who is not defined by a particular trait they have intrinsic to their characterization," Red says.
