ATTENTION SHOPPERS: Please Hide At The Back Of The Store Immediately!

A family's late-night Walmart trip to tire out their kids turns into a nightmare when the store's intercom system begins issuing bizarre instructions that have nothing to do with the tornado warning they initially believe is the threat. The narrator, her husband Daniel, and their two young sons—Tucker and Jackson—are shopping 10 minutes before closing when the announcement comes: "Please move to the back of the store immediately. This is not a drill." An older shopper tells them a tornado touched down in nearby Saurville, and the family follows the crowd into the electronics section. But the instructions keep coming, and they grow stranger.

The instructions don't match the threat

Daniel runs to check the back for a break room, and when he returns, he reports that everything is locked. The narrator begins to blame herself for bringing the family out so late, but Daniel reassures her. Then the intercom says something that should have nothing to do with a tornado: "Do not stay out in the open. Do not make yourself visible. That includes security cameras. Please move to a spot that is not visible to any camera." The narrator looks up and sees black lobes descending from the ceiling, covering the cameras. A pit forms in her stomach. She tells Daniel they should listen and get out of sight.
