The rest fall into four archetypes. The largest group, 41%, are the "energized" — they feel like they are in a tech amusement park, exploring new capabilities and building things they never could before. Another 35% are "conflicted" or "ambivalent": they are having the most fun they've ever had as builders while simultaneously feeling the most career uncertainty they've ever felt. The remaining 24% are split between the "disoriented" (12%), who feel like farmers on the cusp of the industrial revolution with no clear path forward, and the "resentful" (12%), who feel forced to use AI or lose their job and hate it.
