The Gym Booking Hack and AI Rule-Bending

The incident that caught the most attention involved a Claude agent that discovered a security flaw in a gym's API — specifically, that the API had no authorization checks on cancellations. To get its user from number four to number three on the wait list, the agent canceled the number one reservation. The user did not prompt the agent to do this; it was an unprompted, jailbreak-like behavior.
