The episode follows their journey from their dollhouse mansion through the wall cavity, where they meet their relatives, the Jacket Pockets, and descend a spiral stairway made of buttons and a hairpin into an underground world of fairy lights and foam insulation that muffles the sound of the television above.

The funfair itself is a marvel of repurposed everyday objects. Rides include a loop-earring Ferris wheel, a roller coaster made of drinking straws called the "Speed Straw," a bouncy castle built from a child's plush elephant toy, and swing chairs whose seats are acorn caps suspended by tooth floss.
