The SICK Lore of Animal Hospital

The new Roblox management sim Animal Hospital starts cozy enough: you're an intern treating animals, managing patients, and keeping the place running. But something is deeply wrong. Patients keep dying in strange ways. Creatures lurk in corners. The staff acts like nothing is happening. And the deeper you dig, the more you realize this hospital isn't trying to cure sick animals at all—it's running experiments on them, and the "illness" is something far stranger than a disease.

The Two Threats: Anomalies and Monsters

The game throws two distinct dangers at you. Anomalies are creatures disguised as regular animals—some with hollow eyes, three eyes, or distorted bodies visible only through security cameras. One only appears when you take a photo. The most dangerous is the Mimic (originally called a "skinwalker," a term the developers wisely changed after recognizing the Navajo cultural significance). Mimics look like animals but with giant toothy jaws that try to eat you or other patients.

Monsters, meanwhile, attack your sanity directly. Headbangers smash against reception glass. Stalkers lurk around corners. Massive eyes and bed monsters inhabit patient rooms. Let your sanity hit zero, and you lose.
