5 min readOn Thursday night, a Chinese AI startup called Moonshot released Kimi K3, a 2.8 trillion parameter model that instantly became the largest open model ever built — and it shocked the AI world by landing at third place overall on the Artificial Analysis intelligence index, not far behind Claude's Fable 5 and OpenAI's GPT-5.6. That alone would have been the week's biggest story, but it arrived alongside a flurry of practical product updates from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Spotify, and Superhuman that collectively reshaped what you can actually do inside AI tools right now.
