What "the chosen one" actually means

Harvey is explicit that the chosen one is not the richest or most famous person in the family. The chosen one is the person the family has identified as the one who has it together. "Maybe you just happened to make more money than all the rest of them," he says. "Maybe you the chosen one because you the one that made all the right decisions and got your life in a better position than the rest of your family members. Maybe that's it. Maybe you just paid your bills on time, maintained your credit line. Maybe you just finished school. Maybe you just went and applied for the bigger position and got it."
