The Violet Peaks: A Fractured Temple and a Betrayed Trust

The party stands in the aftermath of a brutal battle against their own shadow selves—"reverse moths" and twisted versions of their companions made of chroma light. When Fennel grabs one of the attacking moths by the leg, slams it to the ground, and stabs it repeatedly with her knife, she is fighting not just a monster but a manifestation of something darker. Udos twists the neck of another until it snaps off and dissipates into "small geometric fractals." The battle is exhausting, bloody, and disorienting. But when it ends, the overlight begins pouring into the cave entrance, showering the party with spirit points and a strange sense of renewal. They have activated something—and they are not alone in wanting to understand it.
