5 min readOn the one-year anniversary of Charlie Kirk's death, Candace Owens opens her episode not with a tribute, but with a clip of Turning Point USA's Alex Clark releasing a video titled "How Can I Ever Forgive Someone Like Candace Owens?" It's a strange choice for a memorial, Owens argues, and it sets the tone for an episode that is less about remembrance and more about the accumulating discrepancies she sees in the official story of what happened on September 10th.
The Scrubs, the Shirt, and the Missing CPR
Owens returns to a detail she flagged in a previous episode: Blake Heref, a member of Charlie Kirk's security detail on September 10th, was seen wearing hospital scrubs later that day. Heref had no blood on him and did not help transport Kirk to the hospital. Owens walks through possible explanations—maybe the feds took his shirt as evidence, or maybe he was being cautious about explosive residue from the scene—but finds each one lacking. If the feds were collecting evidence, she asks, why didn't they take Kirk's bloodied necklace and microphone? And why was Kirk's sports coat released and sent back to Arizona almost immediately?
