The payoff comes later. By the third or fourth day, wildlife begins walking through camp as if he isn't there. On a recent trip to New Mexico, elk came through by day four. That's when he knows the site has settled. "Once that happens, I feel pretty good about the site." Bobo, who admits he gets restless and wants to explore, learned this lesson the hard way. He recalls a day in Oklahoma when he and Colyer sat in one spot for hours. Bobo kept thinking they were in the wrong place and should move. "If I was left to my own devices, I probably would have abandoned that spot and moved on. And then I would not have had that experience."
