The host is not reacting to the entire LGBT movement, but to a specific activist fringe he believes is destroying the movement's public standing through what he calls "self-absorbed, narcissistic, attention-starved" behavior. His thesis is blunt: the original LGBT movement succeeded by asking for the right to be left alone. The original bargain versus the new activism

Asmongold draws a sharp distinction between "normy LGBT people" and "the activist part of this community."
