A flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday after the co-pilot, an Omani citizen, stabbed the Indian captain and attempted to seize control of the aircraft. The captain, who was stabbed with a pocket knife, managed to open the cockpit door before losing consciousness, allowing passengers to intervene. The aircraft had been descending rapidly from 30,000 feet at a rate of approximately 30,000 feet per minute before the situation was stabilized.
