Ethan Klein—the co-host of the H3 Podcast—had been watching a phenomenon unfold in the streaming world for months. Large Twitch streamers like Hasan Piker and xQc would play other creators' entire videos on stream, adding minimal commentary, then re-upload the full VOD to YouTube with the same thumbnail and title, effectively cannibalizing the original creator's traffic. When xQc appeared on Ethan's show and was asked whether he cared about copyright law, he replied flatly: "It doesn't matter." The Trap
