Snow White controversy isn't done.. | Asmongold TV

In the 2023 live-action Snow White remake, Disney cast a Latina actress in the title role and used CGI to depict the seven dwarves—a direct response to criticism from actor Peter Dinklage. Dinklage had publicly called the original story "backward" for featuring dwarves living in a cave, arguing it was a regressive portrayal. The hosts of this episode argue that this decision, driven by Dinklage's intervention, effectively "pulled the ladder up" for actors with dwarfism, eliminating one of the few reliable sources of employment for them in Hollywood.

The Dinklage paradox: A career built on the roles he now condemns

The hosts center their argument on a perceived hypocrisy. Peter Dinklage gained his fame and critical acclaim by playing Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones—a role specifically written for a little person. He also starred in Elf, a film that openly uses his stature for comedy. The hosts point out that Dinklage "cashed that check" for years, building a career on the very type of casting he later denounced.
