In December 2024, a 28-year-old Arizona TikToker named Charles Smith, who posted as Wolfie Coletti, walked into a Mesa Walmart, picked up a can of Raid bug killer, and sprayed it onto produce. He filmed the whole thing and uploaded it. That video, which earned roughly 200 likes, is the reason he is now facing up to nine years in prison. Smith has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of adding poison or other harmful substances to food, one misdemeanor count of endangerment, and one misdemeanor count of criminal damage. His sentencing is scheduled for June 24, 2025.

The escalation from nuisance to felony

Smith did not start with poison. For months before the Walmart incident, he built a following by recording "prank" content that targeted the least powerful people around him: fast food workers, laundromat customers, and dollar store employees. His videos show him dumping a bag of ice into a deep fryer at Jack in the Box, throwing a dead pigeon into a restaurant kitchen, and smashing a cake into a woman's face.
