“Every review is valid, and I'm not saying that they have no right to review it, but don't expect me to take that seriously.” That is the core tension Asmongold wrestles with in this episode of his podcast. He is responding to a familiar pattern in video game discourse: the review-bombing of a new release (here, Assassin’s Creed Shadows) by people who have not played it, and the countervailing tendency to give it a perfect score for tribal reasons. His argument is not about gatekeeping who gets to have an opinion. The central framework: fairness as a claim to authority

Asmongold’s entire monologue is built around a single, self-aware rhetorical framework: he is the only person who is “fair.” Everyone else is biased, either by hype or by hatred.
