A very important day for Trump

Donald Trump stood before a crowd of coal miners, energy executives, and Republican lawmakers to announce what he called "a very important day" — the revival of the American coal industry. The event, which aired on Asmongold TV, featured a lengthy speech from the president followed by commentary from the show's host. The core argument of the episode was straightforward: Trump framed coal as the most reliable, powerful, and strategically essential form of energy, and he presented a series of executive actions designed to reverse what he described as years of government hostility toward the industry.

The case for coal

Trump's central thesis was that coal had been unfairly targeted by previous administrations, particularly those of Joe Biden and Barack Obama. He claimed that "beautiful clean coal" — a phrase he said he instructed his team to use — had been subjected to a "war" that destroyed thousands of jobs and forced the closure of dozens of plants. The president argued that this was not only economically damaging but strategically foolish, because other nations had not followed suit.

"China's opening two plants every week," Trump said. "Germany went green, very green. They went so green they almost went out of business. Damn. Germany was finished... Now they're back to coal."
